Black Mountain Honey is an all natural, untreated,

cold-filtered, award winning, wildflower honey.

We specialise in the production of Great Taste Award winning honey, UK Mated Buckfast queens and nucleus colonies.

Black Mountain Honey is fully committed to improving and diversifying habitats for all pollinator species, across Flintshire, North Wales and even further beyond.

We do this by planting bee friendly trees, to help offset our carbon emissions; planting wildflower meadows, which provides a crucial source of nectar and protein for all pollinator species and giving away free wildflower seed mixtures with orders from our website. This allows our customers to plant the seeds within their own gardens and spread the flowers far and wide.

Each packet of seeds can plant roughly 1 x sq ft of wildflower meadow.

FREE WILDFLOWER SEEDS

From March 2020 until further notice, every single order placed on our website will qualify for 1 x free packet of wildflower seeds.

Your seeds will come in a small compostable, brown paper envelope that can either be recycled or composted within a home composting system. You will receive 1 x packet of seeds per order placed.

2021 WILDFLOWER MIX

The 2021 wildflower seed mixture includes the following: Phacelia, Buckwheat, Sainfoin, Crimson Clover, Lucerne, Red Clover, Alsike Clover, Birdsfoot Trefoil,

Yarrow, Winter Vetch, Black Knapweed, Black Medic, Ox-Eye Daisy, Meadow Buttercup, Red Campion, Musk Mallow, Goats Rue, Wild Carrot, Lady's Bedstraw.

PLANTING YOUR SEEDS

To plant your seeds you can scatter them at any time of year within your garden. Wildflowers love poor quality soil with low levels of nutrients so they will thrive where others won't.
